Frequently Asked Questions

Getting Started

How do I create a team?

After signing up, you're automatically taken to the team creation page. Pick a name, and you'll receive 12 players with hidden genetics. You can own up to 15 teams per account.

Why can't I see my players' attribute statistics?

Unscouted hides player attribute statistics (such as contact, power, pitching, fielding, and others) on purpose. The game is about discovering your team's hidden strengths through observation, not optimizing visible numbers. Player names, positions, and team-level star ratings are what you see by default.

What do the stars mean?

Stars represent your team's rough power level, 1 to 10. They update when you train or play games. 10 stars is extremely rare and hard to maintain.

Training

Why are my players' stats declining?

If a player hasn't been trained in a while, their skills slowly decline. Train consistently to keep them sharp. Skills can't decay below a floor — your players won't disappear, but they'll lose edge.

What's TP?

Training Potential — the energy each player uses to train. Active players (starting 9) regenerate 48 hours from empty to full. Bench players regenerate in 24 hours. A player at 0 TP won't produce training gains.

My player is sleeping — what does that mean?

The sleep icon means they're at 0 TP. They need to rest (at the bench or off the field) to recover before training again.

What do the different stations do?

Each station trains specific attributes. Batting cages train contact, power, and swing skill. Pitching mound trains pitching. Throwing lane trains throw power and accuracy. Fielding area trains fielding and catching. Running track trains speed.

How long should I train?

As long as your players have TP. Short, focused sessions (10–20 minutes) tend to work better than trying to train everyone at once. You can train, come back in a day when TP regenerates, and train again.

Matches

What's the difference between Exhibition and Big League?

Exhibition games are practice — no impact on your record or rankings. Big League games are tracked wins and losses that count toward the standings.

Why can't I find opponents?

Teams that haven't been active in three or more days won't appear in matchmaking. If you challenge by team ID, that team also needs to be active. Keep your team active by training regularly.

Why did I lose to a weaker team?

Team stats decay over time if unplayed. Star ratings are a display value that updates slowly — a team that looks like 5 stars might actually play closer to 3 stars if they've been inactive. Also, baseball has upsets.

Can I see previous games?

Yes. The Recent Games feed on the dashboard and on team pages shows past matchups. Click any game to open the visual playback.

How do I watch a game?

After playing a challenge, the game opens in visual playback automatically. You can also revisit any past game from the Recent Games list on your dashboard or team page. Use the Pause/Play and speed buttons (1×, 2×, 10×) to control playback. Skip to End jumps straight to the final score.

Can I change the default playback speed?

Yes. Go to Settings → Playback → Default speed. Choose 1×, 2×, or 10×. This applies to new games — you can still change speed during any specific playback.

Teams

Can I delete a team?

No. Team numbers are permanent identifiers. A team you create stays forever, and its team page remains accessible.

Can I transfer a team to someone else?

This feature is coming later. You'll eventually be able to unbind a team from your account, and another user can bind it to theirs through email verification.

How many teams can I have?

15 per account. You can switch between them through the My Teams page.

Why did my new team start at only 1 star?

All new teams start at 1 star. This gives every team meaningful room to grow and keeps matchmaking fair.

Rankings

How do rankings work?

The Big League Rankings page sorts teams by total wins in Big League games. Ties break by total games played. Only teams with Big League activity appear.

Why doesn't my team appear?

Teams need at least one Big League game to appear on the rankings page.

Technical

I can't log in.

Check your email for the verification link from signup. If it's not there, check your spam folder. If still missing, try signing up again — old accounts without verified emails are cleared regularly.
